Forward Corporation will donate a portion of fuel sales at its Arenac County Shell locations from August through October to benefit the Arenac Community Center.
“We are proud to support the community center through Shell’s Giving Pump program to help raise money for such a deserving cause,” Forward Corporation President Abby Moniz said. “The community center is a wonderful resource for children and families in this area.”
As part of Shell’s national Giving Pump program, one pump at Forward Shell convenience stores in Standish, Sterling and Alger will be designated as the “Giving Pump” with one cent donated to the Arenac Community Center for every gallon of fuel pumped at that dispenser. The program runs through October 30.
“We are so genuinely grateful for Forward’s generosity,” Arenac Community Center Director Shara Klenk said. “This money will be incredibly helpful towards supporting kids and their families in our community.”
The Arenac Community Center opened in 2019 thanks to the efforts of local citizens who saw a need for more community programs and facilities. The center offers a variety of programs, meeting space, recreational activities, and after-school programs. Public donations can be made at arenaccommunitycenter.org
