Forward Corporation raised over $25,000 for Make-A-Wish® Michigan at Forward’s 36th Annual Golf Outing at The Dream Golf Course in West Branch on August 29. The event coincided with the debut of Forward Shell’s Giving Pump which also benefits Make-A-Wish Michigan.
“Make-A-Wish Michigan is grateful to partner with Forward Corporation,” Make-A-Wish Michigan Director – Corporate and Foundations Rae Anne Yuskowatz said. “The golf outing was such a success and raised needed funds to grant wishes for Michigan children with critical illnesses. Everyone involved shared such enthusiasm for supporting our mission; it was incredible to see the golfers’ willingness to help transform lives for children in our community.”
A total of $25,699.19 was raised at the event.
“We are proud to partner with Make-A-Wish Michigan to help raise money for such a deserving cause,” Forward Corporation President Abby Moniz said. “We are happy to help bring some joy to children with critical illnesses.”
To further fundraising efforts, Forward Corp. will donate a portion of fuel sales at its Shell locations through October to Make-A-Wish Michigan.
“Make-A-Wish Michigan relies on support from our corporate friends like Forward Corporation to grant wishes to Michigan children,” President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Michigan Michael Hull said. “We are so grateful to be selected to benefit from The Giving Pump program. It is only through the support of our community and generous corporate partners that transformational wishes can come true for children battling critical illnesses.”
As part of Shell’s national Giving Pump program, one pump at 23 Forward Shell convenience stores will be designated and adorned with graphics as the “Giving Pump” with 1¢ being donated to Make-A-Wish Michigan for every gallon of fuel pumped at that dispenser. The program began August 1 and runs through October 30.
